School is back in session. Thank you for your generous response to the request for funds to buy school supplies for children in need. Your contributions exceeded the present need and will continue to be used for the needs of these children.
As the children go back to school, it is also a good time to evaluate our commitment to the Lord and His church. If your summer schedule overwhelmed you, then it is time to reevaluate your faithfulness to the Lord and give Him first place in your life and family. When we keep our priorities in order, all the other things of life will have more order.
There are several opportunities for adults to grow and learn. We should never quit learning. If we quit learning, we start dying. On Wednesdays, we will study Islam and how Christians should respond to it. In Sunday morning Bible study, we will be studying the book of Ephesians. Discipleship training at 5:00 PM will study Psalms (women) and Your Money Map (everyone else). A women’s group will also meet on Tuesdays at 1:00 PM. Take any or all of these opportunities to grow in the Lord. “Study to show thyself approved unto God..” (2 Timothy 2:15)
I am excited about how God is working in our church. Let us be faithful and usable in His hands.
